Sledgehammer wines have big and bold flavors. It is very easy to end up with a rainbow-like range of packaging colors when extending a tier which I wanted to avoid. To differentiate the new varietals, I decided to reverse the flagship wine labels to keep the signature bold red and black colors.
For the product release, bold and humorous statements were used for point of sales to reflect the personality of the wine.
